Dearest Dad, I had written a very lengthy message a couple of days ago on here, not sure why it never registered, but I will take another attempt at this.  I speak to you and mom every night and pray that you are both rejoicing in the love of God and in the glories of heaven.  Dad the 6 of us kids really pulled together like you and mom would have wanted to give you one of the most beautiful burial services...  It was a very difficult day for us...and now we can take great comfort knowing that you are no longer suffering.  

Dad I shall treasure the 40years of memories that I was given the privilege of spending with you.  I will always try to remember the healthier and happier days dad.. I shall never ever forget your Newfoundland heritage and shall cry a happy tear when hearing the harmonica being played or the acoustic guitar.  Thankyou for giving me the same love for music...I shall never cut open a cantaloupe or eat a piece of rye bread with caraway seeds without thinking of you... sorry dad I just could not do the fish stew or molasses on bread..eeeek...

Dad you were a great role model for all of us, showing us not to ever give up on what is important to us..to never ever give up without giving it our all...you have now taught me never to complain about the little troubles in life as they really aren't worth complaining about.. as you never ever complained about anything but tried to smile even at the most difficult of times...

I hope to one day go to Newfoundland,with my children and to think of you and your upbringing and introduce to my children all the wonderful things you have shown me...

I am very thankful dad for the thick hair and Brooke Sheild eyebrows I inherited from you... lol... 

Love you so very much dad, will pray for you and mom every week in church...and remember all the good times we had together...

         RIP: UNCLE RAYMOND WHITE
 I know this man  who is dear to my heart and then one day my life ripped apart. This man taught me everything  that I needed to know but I never really listened until he had to go  He gave me love and touched my life its all over now he no longer has to fight. He tried to teach me right from wrong. The day he left  I wasn't that strong, He is gone now and it is hard to believe I still am so numb that I can't really grieve. The man who was my Uncle has gone from my sight.There's only my memories tocheer the dark night.  But I will see him again  of that I know the day will come when its time for me to go. When that day shall come, I shall hold him so near and hear him whisper in my ear. My Uncle will wait in that place up above where sorrow's not know only kindness and love. We will be reunited and there'll be no more pain on the day when I meet my Uncle again.

It has only been a short time since we had to let you go, but your voice keeps running through my head.  Everywhere I look there are reminders of you.  In my reflection, it's you I recognize.

I will miss you hanging out with me.  It's so hard to let you go as you are my pillar of strength.  Since you've been gone there is such grief, sadness and devastation.

Remember he thought this battle and I can honestly say he was so strong.. But he is now with your mother, and other family members.. Looking down and smiling at you all.. I want you to know how very proud and thankful I am to have you as my father! You are one of the most compassionate and sincere person I ever knew! I see a part of you in all of us~ I will forever cherish all the precious moments with you...teaching me to skate, turning the skipping rope for us, playing baseball, teaching me to ride my bike, the huge snapping turtle you brought home, how you would tickle us until we recited your crazy saying...the skunk under your chair :) You shared with us your love of people and your faith in the Lord! The memory I cherish most and have for all time..was your love for Mom ~ I pray you are up there  with her making heaven perfect for us...and smiling down at us...knowing the 2 of you have created us..and made us all who we are! I admire your strength tremendously..especially in these last few months..I have never seen such an incredible will...You are amazing...amazing...dad I love you, always have and always will! Enjoy your next journey...grab mom's hand and run free! :)

Matthew & Michael~ I am so blessed knowing you have shared in your Grandpa White's life...playing checkers, the harmonica, singing~listening to him sing...even as his voice changed..and he began to sing wayyyy off key (lol), helping with meals..even though he was very stubborn..you guys never minded :)  I promise to continue to share my memories of your Grandpa with you both~

Dad, thank you for sharing yourself..your life with me..I will cherish my memories...I was blessed to share your last moments here with you...as you left us to go be with the Lord..and with mom......(lift me up..put me down..."NO" NOT YET...and I love you too!) I hate coke~aka~gasoline...but I am going to have one...for you!  ....xoxoxoxo

Dad, like you I only had one son~I will always remember the days at Fairy Lake in Acton~where you showed me how to bait my first fish hook on my bamboo pole.  Another fond memory was when I came home and you were able to appreciate my mechanical mind and auto mechanics - when I was able to get your truck running.  I will always remember when I am tinkering with my cars-of you-as that was a joy of your life and you made it one of mine!  Although I never played the Harmonica..I now hold the one you played and when I retire...I would love to learn how to play it! I promised you in your last hours~ I will always look after your daughters ~ (my sisters)~ I vow to do so and try to keep us as a big happy family as best we can~as you and mom would have liked! I am happy that you and mom are together again. There are many other words but I will have all the memories and pictures and the cd of your life that I will cherish forever.

I love you all..with all my heart, I am so glad truly to be part of the six pack..that knows how to pull it together! Mom and dad..are probably looking down at us..smiling..thinking...we did it!!! Hello Ray,
I truly will miss the biggest fan of my cooking.  No one loved my steaks and fish more than you.  I still wonder where you put all that food in that tiny frame!  I tried so hard to fatten you up with out any luck.  I was honoured to know you, cook for your and of course marrying your youngest daughter Melanie to become part of your family.   I didn't have a father in law, I had a second Dad and great friend.

With great saddeness I will miss you but I will always cherish the times we shared.  No one was better to watch the news with or play along with a tune on the Harmonica.  You left a great mark on me and thank you for it.
