Dad,

I miss you. I take comfort in reading all the wonderful tributes your family and friends have written.  

You are such an inspiration.  I too will miss your quirky jokes that always made me smile.  You were truly pure in spirit and I have never known such a caring, loving, and giving person.  Your light will always live on in me.  Thank you for being you and teaching me so much! I am so proud to be your daughter.

You will be greatly missed Richard by many people.  You had a heart of gold to help anyone who needed anything done.  You were a very caring person and so helpful in your community.

I knew Richard as a remarkable man who overcame some very difficult life scenarios.  He always had a pleasant word for me and a friendly smile.  I especially remember his kindness as he faithfully worked as a volunteer delivering meals on wheels.  Even though I saw Richard only occasionally in recent years, I'm saddened to know I will not see him again on this earth.

God Bless you uncle Richard. Thanks for all the funny jokes.

So many times good people go unrecognized and are never mentioned for the good things they do. 
I personally feel you deserve a metal. You were a behind the scenes kinda guy who never looked for recognition. Some say a unsung hero.
You have touched so many lives and have definately left a mark in so many hearts.
You were important.All you ever wanted was for everyone to be happy and love life.....afterall you did

You always shared a joke with Janice and I when we met on Saturday mornings. Always so concerned about others, and wanted to make sure we didn't need anything.  The children were so spoiled with their weekly little gifts that you just wouldn't stop purchasing.  You were a very generous person.
