Peacefully on September 27th 2025 at home surrounded by family in her 83rd year.
Rita is the beloved mother of Kelly Mead (Scott) and Richard Bartraw. Loving Grandmother to Kyle and Cole. Predeceased by her parents Maxwell and Mildred Lyons (McNaughton), Brother Gordon Smith. Loving sister to Gregory Smith (Donna predeceased). Special friend and niece to Aunt Dorothy.
She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

A visitation for Rita will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Chapel, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Burial will occur at Highland Memory Gardens - 33 Memory Gardens Ln, North York, ON M2H 3C8.
