Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the age of 86. Loving wife of the late Clifford “Bud” Banks. Devoted mother of Gerald (Mary), Robert (Vicki), and Cheryl (John). Proud grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of 6. Beloved sister of Helen (late Bill), Leonard (Betty), and predeceased by Irene (late Lorne). The family of Rita would like to extend a special thank you to her oncologist, Dr. Krieger, Laura, and the nursing staff at Scarborough General Hospital. A memorial visitation will be held at the Jerrett Funeral Home (660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough), on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. To be followed by a memorial service in the Chapel at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
