Our heart felt sympathies go out to you Marj.  Even though we didn’t see you very often, the July 1st bus trips were the highlight of our year. So many great memories and we talk and laugh about them often. Rick was the best!!!

I was so saddened to hear of Ricky Marshall’s passing.  Growing up, I have so many wonderful memories of spending time at Ricky and Marjorie’s home. Whether it was a barbecue, a party, or just getting together, their home was always filled with laughter, kindness, and a warm welcome.  As a kid, those moments meant so much to me, and they are memories I’ll always treasure.
Ricky, you lived a life that touched so many people.  I can just picture you looking down on all of us, raising a glass with that familiar smile and saying, “Don’t worry, folks… I’ll see you soon.”  Marjorie, my heart goes out to you and your family.  Wishing you strength, peace, and comfort as you remember the incredible man you shared your life with.
Rest easy, Ricky.   You will never be forgotten.

To wife, Marjorie (Marg) the Marshall and Power family the many friends and associates of Ricky I extend  my deep and sincere condolences. I recall our first meeting at Central Station in the early sixties, but long before we met I had heard of him because of his interest in one of the NHS most beautiful young ladies.  I can still recall Marg telling me how much she was in love with this guy Ricky Marshall. Knowing how protective the Power family was I worried for him, as we have all seen he navigated those waters very well.
Ricky was one of the most committed people I've ever known, Marg was well rewarded having him as her own for more than 60 years.
Ricky was well liked and respected among his fellow officers of all ranks.  Go on my friend you will be missed by those of us who knew you.

To Marjorie & the family:   we give thanks to God for Rick’s life and for his  dedication to the church and to his community as well as for the extraordinary spirit to always give his best in everything he did l!  He had a great passion for his love of musicI 

I was honoured to serve as music director at Grace Church in Scarborough (formerly Church of the Epiphany) where Rick along with Marjorie were part of the church choir.  Along with his other choir, the Barbados Ex-Police, we performed regularly in concerts and Sunday worship.  His love of lively music clearly shone on his face throughout all the time I knew him.  We became good friends even after  I left the role after many years of service.  It was a wonderful community and I remain blessed to this day with many fine memories.  Rick will always remain with me.  He constantly supported our efforts to make the place come “alive”!  His big smile showed approval of all music types. And many great post performance celebrations were held at their family home in Markham.   

It was clearly God’s will that we spoke recently when he phoned me  a few days prior to his being called to eternal life and it was as if he was saying goodbye.  We spoke about many topics and even though not well, his gentle nature and his caring of others came across very clearly.  

I’m  grateful for every moment we shared together but especially those last few minutes.  A true caring and Christian man right to the end. We thank God for the life of Rick Marshall.  As he and other members of the choir would understand:  we praise your name oh God.  Sing amen!

To the family of Ricky . I met Ricky as a schoolboy in Barbados when he was captain of the Police Cricket 🏏 Club. He was famously the captain of the great Sir Garfield Sobers. We also connected in Toronto when he was the captain of Dovercourt Cricket Club. Ricky was a very personable man. I cannot think of anything undesirable that I would say about him. Much respect and blessings to his wife and family. May he rest in peace and rise in Glory.
