Robert (Bob) Davies passed away suddenly on October 29, 2026 at the age of 70, in his home in Toronto. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He was born on June 1st 1956 in Oshawa, ON and lived in Toronto, ON.
After graduating from The University of Toronto, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies degree, Bob dedicated his career to working for different levels of the government, at various positions. Bob was very proud of the work he did, for which he was recognized and acknowledged for the excellent service he provided.
Bob enjoyed the people with whom he worked and he made great friendships with a lot of his coworkers. He loved them and they are missing him a lot. Bob retired at age of 62 and he loved it.
Bob enjoyed life to the fullest, and he treasured the relationships that enriched his life. Bob had a remarkable gift for friendship and he built a large family of friends who will deeply miss him. His warm personality, great sense of humour, kindness and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate to know him.
In addition, Bob’s great passion was to travel (Greece, France, Cuba, and wherever he had a chance). Music was another of Bob’s passions, he could not live without listening to his favourites (too many to mention here). Bob enjoyed books, photography, gardening, film, theatre, art, architecture and being with family and friends. Bob was an exceptionally loving person, always ready to help, support, listen and to have a laugh. The void will be without his laughter, wisdom, encouragement and unconditional love that once filled the room and will remain forever.
Bob is predeceased by his parents Robert Walter Davies and Lorraine Davies, and by his sister Malaine Boyce. He is survived by his sister Judy Rogers (Dennis), friend Lou Dacic, numerous extended family members and friends.
In Bob’s memory, play a favourite piece of music, raise a glass, tell a story ending with laughter and celebrate a life that was of an amazing man!
The music may end but the melody of life well lived plays on forever.
RIP, you will always be remembered and missed by your family and friends.
