Robledo "Roby" Ocampo

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 72. Devoted Dad of Darren and Cassie. Proud Papa of Kyle, Carter and Aiden. Roby will be missed by former spouse and friend, Colette. Cherished brother of Melchor and predeceased by siblings. Loving son of the late Miguel and the late Luisa. Roby will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his dedication and love of his family. He emigrated from the Philippines to Canada and quickly found employment as a successful architect in Toronto. Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough on Monday, January 2, 2016 from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 3, 2016 at 1 pm. Cremation to follow. Donations in Memory of Roby may be made to The Arthritis Society.

"My father was simple and traditional man but very unique and complex. He installed his morals of family, hard work ethic and education into his my sister, Cassie and I. He has also been able to install those morals into the early stages of the next generation of three young men, Kyle, Carter and Aiden.

My father put emphasis on family. He was always there for his family he had created here in Canada. He also loved to reminisce about the family he left in the Philippines. He impacted us all in many ways, children were always drawn to his spirit and he always found a way to help those when they were in difficult situations. My father's life was not an easy path. He lend a life of sacrifice and suffering. However today, we should all see him move to the next stage of eternal life in gods kingdom. Where he can now live without the physical ailments that plagued him throughout his life. But today let's celebrate the life he lived and laugh at the many memorial moments he had given us . I will tell everyone the same I tell my son, my father although physically not here anymore, will live through you and me.
