

Rosaria passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 19, 2025 at the age of 77. Born in the picturesque town of Bagheria, Sicily, Italy, predeceased by her parents Mattea and Stefano Padovano, she carried the warmth and beauty of her heritage with her throughout her life.
Rosaria’s love for her family and friends was unmatched. She was a selfless woman who found joy in nourishing others, both with her love and her incredible culinary talents. Known for her amazing cooking and baking, Rosaria’s kitchen was always filled with the comforting smells of traditional Italian dishes and desserts that warmed the hearts of all. Her kitchen wasn’t just a place to cook; it was a sanctuary where memories were made, and everyone who stepped inside felt like part of the family.
Rosaria was the epitome of grace, generosity and kindness. She offered a listening ear, a helping hand, and a comforting presence to anyone in need. She touched the lives of so many with her warm smile, her caring heart, and her unwavering spirit.
Rosaria has been reunited with her loving husband, Giovanni (2012). Together they nurtured a loving family. She was the mother of Cathy and Mattea (Dante). Rosaría was the proud loving nonna to her only grandson, Stefano, who was her pride and joy. Rosaria is also deeply cherished by her sister, Anna, along with many other relatives and friends, all of whom will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She is now reunited with those who have gone before her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday March 24 at the Jerrett Funeral Home – St. Clair Chapel, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. Toronto from 2-4pm and 6-9pm.
A funeral mass to honor her life will be held on Tuesday March 25, at St. Clare Church, 1118 St. Clair Ave. W. at 10:00 am. Followed by interment at Glendale Cemetery (All Saints mausoleum).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Waves of Changes for Autism or the Alzheimer Society in her memory, to continue her legacy of warmth, kindness and compassion. May she rest in peace.
