We have missed our get togethers, our lunches, and you, this past year Rose. Love you Shirl Jim and Grace!

I met Rose in 1887 at Baycrest Hospital,she was working in the hearing dept testing peoples hearing and I had just graduated college. I dont think to this day that I have ever met a co-worker so loving and caring as Rose. Her style, beauty, and
laughter was really one of a kind. I will miss my friend Rose but will never forget her.

My dear sweet cousin Rose, though we were very far apart in miles, you were always in our thoughts and hearts,rest in peace hen,and when you meet our daughter Yvonne above,please give her a wee hug from her  mum and dad and sister's tell her we miss and love her so.Our deepest condolences to your loved one's. Just read of Rose's passing.
Rose and I worked together at the CBC in the 50s. We would occassionally run across the street for a drink after work at the old Evereen Hotel. Rose left the CBC and I stayed on until 1990 and never spoke to Rose after she left. It is quite ironic I saw the Obit as I only get the paper on the weekends. Rose was a beautiful and fun gal and I'm so sorry to hear she has passed on.

Rose, so beautiful, so fondly remembered.

I didn't know Rose very well. I was a kid from Scarborough and Rose was a beautiful, sophisticated member of the exotic "downtown" world of my Aunt Shirley and her family. More recently, after I moved back to Ontario, I had a chance to encounter Rose again, at a brunch with Shirley, and there was something in her free spirit and energy that I recognized as a kindred spirit. She was a great example to me of how a single woman could live a wonderful life at any age. I wanted to get to know her better but time, distance and life's distractions got in the way, so I never got around to it. That is my loss and her lesson to me: to live life fully and to take the time to connect with the beautiful souls who touch our lives. I will miss Rose for the chance I never had to get to know her better.

So sorry to hear that Rose has passed away - She will be missed here at 103 Avenue Rd. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

My memories of Rose dance before me from a carefree time, a time when friendships were easy & for fun we would drink wine & dance together & sing silly Beatle lyrics and if we were really lucky Rose would croon Bird in a Gilded Cage & the sadness would make us weep...goodbye Rose from Gretna

Rose so many fond memories, back as far as I can remember. I know what a true dear freind u have been to my mother and father over the years, I have many childhood memories of u in our life.  I can hear your laughter along with my mom and the gals as I may have dropped in the family home unexpectedly to find u all enjoying each others company. Thank you for being a part of our family.

Rose was our next door neighbour who became a really close friend to Jonathan and me... and our dog Trixie - who had a special connection with Rose and loved to visit. We spoke to Rose and saw her almost every day, and Jonathan loved to make her laugh. Rose was a totally free spirit and a truly beautiful person in every way. We are so sad to lose our good friend.

I knew Rose my entire life.  When I was a child, she was the hippest, coolest adult I knew.  She managed to keep that edge for her entire life.  She was my mother Grace's most beloved friend for 60 years. She took me to my first play, which she had directed. She made me laugh.  She spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with me amd my mom most years, including this past year.  Rose is irreplaceable.  She was a great joy to all who knew her.  I cannot believe she is gone.

"We were so sorry to hear about Rose.  So many family memories when we had our family reunions in Brampton.  Rose will be missed by many.  Our love and thoughts go out to the Gilmour family.  So sorry that we cannot attend the memorial visitation.

I am unable to attend the service and that saddens me . I met 
Rose when I was sixteen and she was thirteen. That was 67 years ago and we remained fast friends for all these years. She was a stunningly beautiful thirteen year old and an equally beautiful eighty year old. She was a great supporter and encourager and was always solidly there for me. I shall miss her in the most profound way.
