It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary Tardao Domingos, born in Toronto, Ontario, on April 19th, 1965, and passed away on September 4th, 2026, after an enduring fight with cancer which she fought with resilience and fortitude.
She is deeply missed by her husband Ben, and daughter Elizabeth. Forever in the thoughts and prayers of her mother Evangelina, and brother Paulo and Lucila. Cherished aunt to David and Xavier. Loving sister-in-law to Nelson.
She passed peacefully at the age of 61, with her loving husband Ben by her side, who dedicated his life to ensuring she was comfortable, happy, and laughing as often as she could. Her daughter Elizabeth also held her hand in this moment, making sure she knew she was loved as she slipped away.
Rose was lucky to have found a husband that cherished her the way that Ben did, and to have had experienced true love and soulmate connection. They shared 30 beautiful years together, treasuring simple joys like their frequent walks along the Humber River, working in the garden, singing on long car rides, and spending summers at Wasaga Beach. Rose along with her trustworthy navigator Ben, spent countless weekends at estate sales, auctions and little corner antique shops hunting for rare treasures throughout Ontario. Rose had an eye for beautiful works of art and turned their home into a living museum where every collected item tells a story.
She was profoundly proud of her daughter who grew to reflect many of the same remarkable qualities she had, including her extraordinary work ethic, kindness and creativity. Rose was an incredibly talented woman with a beautiful voice and artistic ability. She had an extraordinary vision for her abstract art that will be displayed in the homes of her loved ones for many years to come. She was breathtakingly beautiful, which stunned her husband when they first met, and brilliant as shown in her work in architecture and engineering. The memories of her will continue to be cherished, and she will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother.
