Mrs. Ruth Muriel Cannon Phillips

Suddenly she passed away at Toronto East General Hospital on April 22, 2008 in her 80th year, of diabetes and heart complications. Predeceased by husband Rowland Phillips in 1995. Cherished by her dear children Patricia Ritchie(Alex), Barbara Thorne(Doug), Jo-Anne Blizzard(Jim), Michael Phillips(Tina), John Phillips(Amey), Gary Phillips(Linda), and Ricky Phillips(Marina). Sadly missed by her eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Jerrett Funeral Home on Friday from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will take place in the chapel Saturday at 9 am. Ruth's final resting place will be at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Canadian Diabetes Association.

Ruth greatest treasurers were her children, grand children and great grand chlldren. She enjoyed going to the trailer / cottage in Tweed with Jo-Anne, Jim and Josh. She collected porcelain dolls. She just loved to read Daniele Steeles and watch her big 33 inch T.V, especially if the old fugitive series with David Jansen was playing, which she 'd watch with her daughter. Barbara. She enjoy her Tuesday tea's with Pat. Mike would drop for a visit when he came into the city from the dentist. Rick would stop by with George for a visit. Johnny would pop by with Matt and McKenzie and Gary would call Mom when he got a minute...All in a day's work......WE MISS YOU MOM......
