Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at West Park Healthcare Centre in his 86th year with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Desiati). Loving father of Phyllis (Robert) Mirtsou and Joseph (Anna) Milando. Cherished Nonno of Christopher and Deanna Milando and Michelle Mirtsou. Loving brother of Michele (Angela) Milando, Giovina (Elio) Gerolin, Lucia Dalsass, brother-in-law of Michele (Ernesta) Desiati, Rina (Guiseppe)Cappelltti and all his nieces and nephews. Sam will be fondly remembered by his relatives, dear friends, and neighbours. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the caring staff at West Park HCC. Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave W, Toronto, on Sunday, August 22 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Monday, August 23 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery, Toronto. In memory of Sam’s love of children, a donation to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
