Sebastião De Paula Silva passed away on February 1, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario. He was born on July 21, 1959, in Timóteo, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and carried his Brazilian roots and warmth with him throughout his life.
Sebastião was the beloved husband of Maria Candida, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. He was a cherished father to Priscilla (Jason), Michael (Vania), Veronica, Derlaine, and Nathalia, and a loving avô to his treasured granddaughters, Aylin Michelle and Rachel Belen, who brought him immense pride and joy.
He will be deeply missed by his many family members and friends, all of whom remember him for his kind heart and gentle presence.
Sebastião found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—enjoying a good coffee with bread and relaxing while watching Just for Laughs, moments that reflected his easygoing and content nature.
Sebastião’s love for his family, his quiet routines, and the warmth he shared so freely will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
