My cousin, you've always been elusive and mysterious to me as I can't remember actually ever having met!  But then Jonathan has done amazingly in regaling me with updates and tales so the lack of physical presence has never stopped me knowing you. 
And so may it continue...

Our conversations started the moment we got within shouting range -- across our postage-stamp gardens, up and down the long sidewalk, from across the street in the dark as you came back from one of your long walks (the Gem!). You were always mid-conversation, describing your handyman adventures in high and low places, reminiscing about Queen West bands that I was too old or outmoded to know, conjuring up memories of Robert Bateman from Burlington days, laughing at the behaviour of my cat Toby, who used to haunt your bird-filled backyard with his hunter's instinct but couldn't figure out your rabbit. You fixed a few disasters at our shabby shack, for which I'm eternally grateful, and you even let me hang around as your all-thumbs assistant and willing listener. You kept the reckless drivers on the street a little more honest (I know, it's a losing cause) and you always had time to chat up the folks on the bus as you patiently took Heather to her seat. Like every good, thoughtful, observant neighbour, you knew that all those piles of snow on Robina would eventually melt, and the water would have to go somewhere -- no one was better than you at keeping the drains clear. I'll miss our easy, everyday chatter.

So sorry to hear about Stephen. My sincerest sympathies to you Jonathan and the rest of the Plumb family. May you eventually find solace in remembering great times past.

Steve you were a true friend!! We had a million laughs. I'll always remember the Chetwynd daze, the concerts, and our times watching Bill play in Kensington.They were special times. Im going to wear my Rory Gallagher shirt until it falls off me in your honour.Rich Ward. Orangeville.
