She was 87 years young and left us on September 28th, 2026. Born in Grenada on January 11th, 1939, she grew up in Trinidad as the beloved daughter of Benjamin and Millicent Paul. The second child in a family of 8 siblings. She is survived by 5 of her siblings (Brigette, Sydney, James, Elizabeth and Charles), nieces, nephews, cousins and close family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her son and 2 siblings (Lucille and Henry).
As a nurse, she was a loving caring person and spoke positively about the people she worked with. She loved the Lord and her faith was very strong. She had a unique sense of humour, a deep love for her family and friends, and she was a cherished member of her church family. She loved life and although she lived alone she never felt alone. Sylvia was loved by family and friends.
Her Famous words: "God is with us, don't worry" and "I am rich!"
Visitation will be held at Saint Maria Goretti Parish, 717 Kennedy Rd, Toronto, ON M1K 3N8, CA, on October 9, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 am.
