At the age of 57, passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at his home in Toronto, Ontario. Tom was born August 2, 1956 to David and Mary (McGoey) O'Connor in Toronto, Ontario, the third youngest of 12 children. Tom attended high school at Lawrence Park, and St. Michael's College in Toronto.
Tom spent time working for a cruise ship that traveled to the Antarctic. Many of his favourite memories were from his Antarctic adventures. He married Hilary (Distin) in 1994, and left the cruise ship to return to Toronto in 1995 before the birth of his first son.
There was nothing that Tom loved more than his family and his friends, and he was never happier than when he was with them. His favourite thing in the world was being with family at the McGoey cottage.
Tom is survived by his two loving sons, Andrew and Cameron O'Connor; brothers, David (Brenda), Peter (Beth), Bill (Cheryl) and Frank (Martha); sisters, Joan(Tom Murray), Patricia, Barbara (Eric Dempster), Mary, Elizabeth, Peggy (Norm Camire) and Posie (Scott Haight); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is loved and missed greatly by all.
