Thomas Petersen

Petersen Thomas (Tom) Petersen passed away suddenly on July 9th 2023 in his 58th year. Beloved son of the late Gunther and Marianne (nee Kugler) Petersen of Durham. A kind, compassionate social worker who, in the course of his working life, was very involved with those who are challenged physically. A lover of country music, movies and comics, he had an encyclopedic knowledge of these topics and loved to take part in conversations on these subjects. In his earlier years he was involved in community theatre and, by all accounts, was an exceptional actor. Tom spent his life serving others and helped so many along the way. He will be greatly missed by his friends in the community.

Visitation is on Friday July 28th 2023

Location: Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home 2570 Danforth Ave. (Main and Danforth)

Time: 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm followed immediately by a service of Remembrance in the chapel.

A Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM at Thornton Cemetery located at 1200 Thornton Road N, Oshawa, ON L1J 0C9.
