Thomas Edward Timewell

98 years old

September 8, 1928 - October 11, 2026

Our beloved father (Thomas) passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026 at the age of 98.

Dad was born at home to Thomas & Caroline Timewell on September 8, 1928. He was born into a very loving family with his dad, mom, and sister who cared for him even though there wasn't a lot to go around, as his early years were spent during the Great Depression. Dad was quiet, shy but always polite with good manners and respect.

Growing up with just the bare necessities instilled his core values and made him the great man that he became. What always showed through in his life was his need to give back and help others.

Simple yet very important accomplishments that he quietly enjoyed were: Joining the air cadets' program as a teenager which inspired him to complete his aviation pilots' licence , donating blood on a regular basis, and providing opportunity to young people in his community through his small construction business.

In 1954, Tom met Doreen as they were neighbors on the same street in East York, becoming close, falling in love, and getting married in 1957.

He took his skills from being a licensed carpenter and his love of architecture to design and build a beautiful home where he and Doreen could start a family.

Dad and Mom lived out all their remaining years (66 years of marriage) happily in their Scarborough home.

He was preceded in death by his wife (Doreen), his Dad and Mom (Thomas & Caroline) and his sister Frances Wood (Jack).

He is survived by his children Susan Timewell-Jeffs (Clinton), David Timewell (Kelly), Brad Timewell (Debbie), and John Timewell.

He is survived by his grandchildren Connor (Jasmine), Meghan (Mason), Liam (Samara), Travis (Breanna), Hayley (Domenic), Emma (Sam), Julia (Everett), and Jackson.

He is survived by his great grandchild Liam.

Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5, CA, on October 26, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Jerrett Funeral Homes at the same location on October 26, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
