Valerie lived a life of passion and dedication. After retiring as an accomplished veterinarian, she took up quilting and quickly became a master; creating and teaching. An avid traveller, she travelled the world with Jim…but her favourite trips were to visit her kids and grandkids who she was immeasurably proud of. Valerie always had a deep love for the ocean and whales, and she and Jim fulfilled a life long dream of being able to wake up to a beautiful ocean view every morning which she was so grateful for.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for Valerie over the past few months at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, and finally Mount Sinai hospital in Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of Valerie to the Canadian Cancer Society.
