Valerie Ann Wilmot

Valerie was born to Mark and Gurneth Quinn in Toronto. She is predeceased by her doting husband, Harry, and her beloved sister, Sheila. Valerie is survived by her loving son, Mark, his wife, Samantha, her stepson Mike his wife, Elaine and her nieces, Erin and Gwen.

Valerie was known for her infectious laugh that carried across rooms and was impossible to ignore. She loved watching Jays games or old movies while completing crossword puzzles. Valerie was a beloved member of her church, Corpus Christi, and spent a portion of her life working as the church secretary. She frequented Occasions Restaurant, forming friendships with the staff and diners alike. Anyone who met her knew her as a light of endless positivity and kindness. She will be deeply missed.

A viewing will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 22nd from 6pm-8pm and there will be a funeral mass held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on April 23rd at 11am, followed by a small reception in the church basement.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Corpus Christi Church, The Canadian Cancer Society or Neighbourhood Link.

The family would like to thank the staff at Michael Garron Hospital for their compassion and care for Valerie in her final days.
