Vincenzo affectionately known as Vince and Nonno Vince immigrated to the UK in his early 20s to pursue a better life. After arriving in the UK, he decided to pursue a career in the culinary arts and obtained his certificate from Bath College. He then met the love of his life, Annamaria (Anna) and were married on April 15, 1972. They then welcomed their first two sons into the world, Gerry and Stephen, and began their family in the city of Bath. In 1978, they moved to Canada to be closer to Anna's family and took up residence first in Kitchener and then Toronto where Vince began his cooking career in earnest. Not too long after they welcomed their third son Roberto and moved to the Etobicoke area. Vince was a man of family, faith, food and sports. These passions guided his life and he enjoyed spending his retirement with Anna, his children and grandchildren. He and Anna were married for 51+ years and will be dearly missed by all who knew him and enjoyed his company.
Vincenzo is the beloved husband and best friend of Annamaria for 51 years. He is the loving father of Gerry (Alicia), Stephen (Mirella), Roberto (Sara) and cherished Nonno of Nicholas, Julianne, Jack, William and Thomas. He will be dearly missed by his brother, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and all of their families. Vincenzo will be forever remembered, loved and missed by all of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family have requested donations in Memory of Vincenzo De Lauro be made to Toronto General Hospital or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
