In loving memory of William Moore, age 84, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Scarborough General Hospital on Wednesday May 6, 2026.
Bill will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. Son of Son of Russell Windett Moore and Daisy Florence Osmond. Devoted husband to Linda Moore (nee Wearring). Loving father of Lisa, Laura and Bryan Moore. Grandfather of Claire and Jon Cameron. Brother to Graham Osmond (Emma) and George Moore. Uncle to Patricia (Rick), Robert (Kim), Timothy and Heather Osmond, Russell Moore, plus enough cousins for a baseball team.
Bill was a gentle man who could start a conversation with anyone. His playful banter and humour, warm smile and generous nature left an impression on all who knew him.
Born and raised in Toronto's west end before moving to Saulter Street in Toronto, he went to high school at Danforth Technical School and studied fashion design at Ontario College of Art.
He worked in the printing department at TransCanada Pipelines for 29 Years. He also had his own renovation business. A creative thinker who could either paint your living room wall or your portrait. Later he was a property manager for World Vision Canada until he retired at 71. His favorite place was walking along the shores of lake Ontario, photographing landscapes, wildlife and nature which he shared through his annual calendars.
Bill was an integral part of the congregation of Beaches Presbyterian Church where he served on the board of directors and as an Elder for over three decades.
He will be remembered for his humour, kindness and his ability to find happiness in what he had.
A celebration of life will be held in mid July, 2026. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.
