How I loved this lady!  I met her in 1971 and hung out at her house with her daughter, Debbie, ALL the time.  She treated me like a daughter, lovingly nick-named me Boo-Boo, and never called me by my first name again from that point on!  I became part of the family with she and Bill, Kathy and Deb, and then along came Rick, Jake, Casey, Lauren, Kevin, John, Jenna and Brandon.  Just the nicest family.  When I think about Alana, I think of her kindness and how much her family has these same qualities.  How she loved to watch car racing and baseball!  Oh, and those killer margaritas she would make!  What good times we had.  She will be missed!!!
