

She was born in South Charleston, West Virginia on September 9, 1937 to her parents Boyd and Josephine O’Dell. In 1956, she moved with her parents to Torrance California, the place she would call home for the rest of her life. Carolyn loved the city of Torrance and volunteered enthusiastically with many different organizations.
She loved giving her time to the PTA, Pacific Coast Little League, AYSO soccer, The Torrance Education Foundation, Relay for Life and serving as a Commissioner on Aging for the City of Torrance. Her biggest passion, however, was volunteering for the Torrance Memorial Hospital annual fundraiser, The Holiday Festival, to which she dedicated 40 years of her time. Carolyn also served her community as a realtor for 25 years. Her other passions included traveling, camping, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. Carolyn lived a very full life and enjoyed it tremendously.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Josephine O’Dell, her first husband, James Franklin Campbell II, and second husband, John E. Snyder.
She is survived by her brother, Ray O’Dell (Jean). Her children, James Franklin (Trey) Campbell III (Jenny), Troy Campbell (Beth), Todd Snyder (Diane), and Tori Parker (Scott); 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; nephews, nieces and many cousins.
