Born October 12, 1961 in Glendale, CA, passed away December 13, 2009 in Torrance, CA.
Chris started his career washing airplanes while in high school. He eventually learned to fly then sold his plane washing business. Chris also sold real estate, went into mortgage lending, and graduated from the police academy at El Camino College. He eventually became a truck driver with a 1 million mile accident free record.
An accident happened approximately 9 years ago when his co-driver went to sleep at the wheel hitting another truck almost head-on. Chris, although strapped into the bunk, was ejected ending up under the wheels of the trailer. His severe injuries and subsequent use of pain medication was the beginning of the end.
Chris was obsessive about everything he did - an avid reader, computer user, CB radio, fishing, and country music.
Chris loved his daughter, Erin, of whom he was very proud. He was good and caring to older people, animals, and enjoyed keeping in touch with old friends.
Christopher is survived by his parents, George and Shirley Amberg of Redondo Beach, CA; daughter, Erin Amberg of Medford, OR; and sister, Lynne Amberg of Redondo Beach, CA, Niece, Anna Amberg and good friend Sue Chaffin.
