
Curtis James Lancon, Jr. Died Saturday morning June 13th, 2009 in Alhambra, CA. He was 80 years old. Curtis was the son of predeceased Curtis Joseph Lancon and Bessie Evaline Boudreaux of Baldwin, LA and brother of Harold Charles Lancon of Baldwin, LA. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Elizabeth Ann Lancon, and children Michael Curtis Lancon, Elizabeth Gail Lancon, Kenneth Paul Lancon and wife Devette Lene' Lancon, and James Barton Lancon; grandchildren Justin Lancon, Kyle Lancon, and Caitlin Lancon; sister-in-Law Lorraine Lancon, nephew Harold Lancon and niece Cathy Lancon; sister-in-Law Jean Grigsby and husband Larry Grigsby and nieces Jennifer Grigsby and Joan Romero. Curtis graduated from Louisiana State University and served as a Sergeant in the US Army in Yokuska, Japan. He was employed as a civil engineer with the Vicksburg Mississippi Corps of Engineers, and as an Aviation Structural Engineer for North American Rockwell and Northrop Aviation, in El Segundo, CA. Curtis served countless hours as a volunteer for numerous organizations including North Torrance Little League Baseball, Cub Scouts Leadership, Knights of Columbus and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Rice Mortuary in Torrance, CA. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 12:30PM in Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, CA . A gathering of friends and family will follow at Rice Mortuary in Torrance from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atherton Baptist Homes, 214 S.
