
David Bruce Clum of Rancho Palos Verdes, born in New York City, July 16, 1938, passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2007 after a sudden illness. He attended Wheaton College in Chicago. While teaching in California, he met his beloved wife of 40 years who taught across the hall. He received his Masters Degree in Psychology and his MFCC License from Cal State LA and worked 35 years for many schools within LAUSD as a school psychologist. He served on the Board of Directors for UTLA and was a past president of the LA Assoc. of School Psychologists. For years, he lobbied to gain improved benefits for the support services division. After retirement, Dave enjoyed reading, world travel, walks along the ocean and lake, and being a grandfather. We will remember Dave for his sense of humor and counseling skills. He is survived by his wife, Marie; daughters Laura (Paul) Helvig of San Rafael, and Alisa Clum of Newport Beach; grandsons Aaron and Alex Helvig; sisters Karen Ehrhart and Cheryl Lovegren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation is at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. from 6-10pm Thursday, Feb. 15 with a vigil at 7pm. Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, Feb. 16 at St. John Fisher Church In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the PVP Land Conservancy or any charity
