

San Pedro, CA - David Michael Villarreal, 27, tragically died early Sunday morning, February 11, 2018 in Pico Rivera as a result of injuries sustained in a drunk driving accident while crossing an intersection.
He is survived by his loving parents David Frank Villarreal and Barbara Lynn Mitchell; his longtime girlfriend Christine Boyer; three younger brothers Gabriel, Samuel and Joshua Villarreal; grandparents Ascencion and Vivian Villarreal; as well as a multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and beloved friends.
He was born in Torrance, CA on November 26, 1990. He had a lifelong passion for music which manifested itself in playing percussion instruments in marching bands, rock bands, jazz bands, orchestras, worship bands and especially jamming among friends. The energy and excitement he displayed while performing infused with his everyday relationships and how he greeted the world around him. His bright and shining presence burned strongly and left deep impressions in all who knew him.
He was in his last semester at California State University Dominguez Hills, pursuing a degree in Health Science. He had hoped to transition from his long time research job at LA Biomed in Torrance to working for the Los Angeles City to help bring Health Care policy awareness to the city he loved the most.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Lighthouse Memorial & Receptions in Gardena, CA from 5:00-9:00 pm and the service will be held on Friday February 23 at 11:00am at the Lighthouse Memorial & Receptions in Gardena, CA as well.
We shall remember him always and forever, our dear angel, son, brother and friend.
