A long-time resident of the South Bay, Don passed away on March 25, 2007 at the age of 57 in Redondo Beach after a five-year battle with colorectal cancer. He was born in Hawthorne and graduated from Palos Verdes High School before receiving degrees from Pierce College, Southern Oregon College (now Southern Oregon University) and University of Oregon. Don had a career in the travel industry, working for United Airlines and TRW. Don loved music, played guitar, mandolin and ukulele and wrote quite a collection of lyrics and songs that he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. He was a serious golfer and has been a member of the Los Verdes Men's Golf Club for many years. Don is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lazar-Morrison, children, Jessica and Kyle, parents, Ruth and Kenneth, sisters, Charlotte and Andrea Sharp (Aaron), and brother, Jay along with nieces and nephews.
