Donna Schmidt Simonson passed away August 10, 2013 of pulmonary failure at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. She was born on June 15, 1933 in Yankton, SD, grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and moved to Torrance in 1956. She is survived by her husband Rodney Simonson and six children, Vicki of San Luis Obispo, Steven (Teng) of Murrieta, John (Susan) of Newhall, Michael (Maribeth) of Murrieta, David(Amy) of Smithfield, UT and Daniel (Amanda) of Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers James Schmidt ( Linda ) of Missouri, Donald Schmidt of Atwater, Bernard Schmidt (Weny) of Northridge, John Schmidt of Florida and Bill Overman of Wisconsin.
