Elsa Marion Sieg

Elsa Marion Sieg passed away on 18 October, 2025 at age 96. Elsa was born in Hermosa Beach, California in August 16, 1929 to Wilfred Jones and Mary Francis Lucy Sheppard. She spent her formative years in Inglewood California and later studied music at Los Angeles State College where she excelled as 2Nd chair Flautist in the orchestra. She then received her teaching credentials and moved to Oxnard California where she taught primary school for four years.

She met her future husband, Robert E. Sieg, playing bridge at the local USO and got married soon thereafter. The Couple moved to Lawndale California where Elsa became a homemaker, mother and later a Marketing Analyst. She eventually went back to school at Dominguez Hills College to study psychology. In her spare time, Elsa thoroughly enjoyed music, reading, and gardening. While raising a family in Lawndale, she had fostered meaningful friendships with many neighbors over a 60 year period.

At age 74, Bob passed away. Elsa is survived by four daughters (Caroline, Camille, Ginny and Susan), four granddaughters (Jessica, Leia, Samantha and Emily) and two great grandsons (Colt and Hudson).
