Forrest Leroy Langley passed away at home in Hawthorne, California on February 24th. He raised his hands towards heaven in praise to God and went home to be with His Savior and WITH his beloved wife of 51 years and mother of his children, Mildred Langley.
Forrest was born in Sterling, North Dakota just a few minutes before his twin sister, Frances, on March 27, 1923 to William and Maude Langley. He married Mildred Grant on December 22, 1946 not long after returning from serving in WWII as a medic. Mildred passed away in 1998. Their lives together were lived in service to others both in their community and internationally. Forrest used his skills as a builder both as his livelihood and for mission work. Forrest and Mildred had two children: William Porter (Skip) and Vicki Aileene.
Forrest is survived by his loving wife Barbara, who he married in 2000. Forrest is also survived by his 2 children and their spouses, 5 grandchildren and their spouses, and 18 great-grandchildren.
To celebrate Forrest’s life, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 11:30 a.m. at The Harbor Church, 25401 S Western Ave, Lomita, CA 90717.
