James Charles Peterson III, 55, was born July 16, 1949 in Joliet, Illinois.
James graduated from Joliet Catholic High. James obtained his B.A. degree from California State University, Fullerton. James was a life-long student of political science, psychology, and music. He maintained close relationships throughout his life with friends and family.
Surviving is mother, Janet Boyle (Torrance, CA),
sisters: Constance Peterson, Redondo Beach, CA and Susanne Peterson-Daves (James), College Station, TX.
Nephews: Jason (Rebecca) Crawford, Joshua (Dorene) Libertor, Jeremy (Judy) Libertor, and Branden Dye.
Great nieces/nephews: Emily, Trevor, Elizabeth Libertor.
Preceded in death by father: James Charles Peterson Jr. and brother,Terence Michael Peterson, and step-father, Joseph Boyle.
Services will be held at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA; Thursday, Dec 23 from 4 - 8 pm.
