James Arthur Rasnick ((formerly Henry Litton), born on June 22, 1939, in the foothills of Virginia, passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 85 in Torrance, CA. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. James graduated from Leuzinger High School (Lawndale, CA) in 1957, enlisted in the United States Air Force and soon after, he started his family with Donna. After the Air Force, he started a career with Parker Hannifin where he worked for 30 years and eventually retired from Eaton Corporation.
A devoted father to his three children, Ricky Rasnick, Kendahl Rasnick and Ryan Rasnick, one of James most important passions was not only watching and supporting his children play sports but coaching his children in their favorite sports along with many of their friends. James was well respected as a Coach and built many wonderful memories, and built lifelong friendships with so many people, young and old.
James was also a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren: Blair, Pierce, Vinny, Ashlyn, Hunter, and Savannah and great-grandchildren Penelope and Sunday. His pride and joy in their accomplishments were ever-present, and he was their biggest fan.
James was known for his humor, larger-than-life personality, and ability to connect with others. He was a father figure to many and a friend to everyone. Whether through his captivating stories or his genuine kindness, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His presence and personality poured out in everything he did, and he will be deeply missed.
James is survived by his wife, Donna Dulin Rasnick; his children, Kendahl Rasnick, Ryan Rasnick (Summer), his six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters and many other cherished family members and friends.
