Joann, I can’t even make sense of you not being here. For the past 20+ years, you have been at every event, activity and holiday - always smiling, teasing and laughing. I can’t thank you enough for loving me like your “other daughter” and welcoming me into your family. Thank you for always taking a nonjudgmental, loving perspective when we said crazy things. Thank you for loving my family as much as you loved your own. Thank you for cultivating relationships with my parents, my husband and my kids. You being you is something that has impacted our lives.  I wish I would have told you how well you raised your daughter - that all the trauma, tragedy, laughter and love has made her an incredible, outstanding person. I wish I would have told you that your own health and wellness journey inspires me every day. And I wish I would have told you that the relationships you cultivated with your grandchildren was the best, most beautiful gift you could have given them. I love you and will miss you. I know you’re going to keep an eye on us, though. Safe travels 💜

My condolences to April and family. Joann was a great neighbor and friend. I will remember her for stopping in front of my house, across the street and we would talk for an hour before moving on. I will surely miss her. Mary Woods

You always checked in on my family and I asking how everyone was doing and how school was going.  You always had a smile on your face, and you exuded love every time I saw you.
