November 24, 1935 to July 15, 2008
His excursion on earth began November 24, 1935, when he was born to John and Inez Neal, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He grew up there and in Clinton, Tennessee and loved to play football. He went on to play in college and later for the Philadelphia Eagles.
He subsequently moved to sunny California, found love and resided in Inglewood for 22 years.
He was a caring father, a beloved family member, and an amusing friend. You knew exactly where he would be on Sunday during football season, right in front of the television. He will be remembered for his clever sense of humor and his generosity. We will always remember Big John.
Johnny is survived by his daughters Teena Lewis and Tracey Neal, granddaughter Elexis Mann, and numerous extended family members.
A viewing for those who wish to pay their respects will be held July 23, 2008 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Mc Cormick Mortuary in Inglewood. Memorial service will be held the following day, July 24, 2008 at 11:00am.
