

Jovencia "Ven" Bello Ferrer, aged 81, died peacefully on December 24, 2013. Ven was born June 1, 1932 in Barrio Macarcarmay, Bangued, Abra, Philippines, the daughter of Fermin Baniaga Bello and Antonina Baldemor Bello.
Ven graduated from Abra High School and attended Abra Valley College, where she graduated and obtained an Elementary Teacher Certifcate. In 1953, she passed the Competetive Examination for Teachers. She taught at Mayoyao Ifugao Mountain Province, Lepanto Elementary School and Ambassador Elementary School.
In 1965, Ven married the love of her life Eleuterio Agpoon Ferrer. They moved to Torrance, California where Eddie was with LAPD and an electrician with SCE. Ven was a homemaker.
Ven was an active member of the Associated Ilocaninsis Fraternity of America, Inc.
Ven is survived by two children: Valentino Jesse B. Ferrer and Antonina Ferrer Morofuji. She also is survived by five grandchildren: Kenichi Val, Michiko Joanne, Aiko Kamille, Ella Nicole and Zyan Jesse.
A viewing will be held at Rice Mortuary, Torrance on January 9 (5:00 PM to 9:00 PM) and January 10 (1:00 PM to 9:00 PM). On January 11, Church Service will be held at Nativity Catholic Church at 9:30 AM followed by the burial at Forest Lawn, Long Beach. A reception will conclude at Rice Mortuary, Torrance.
