Linda Marie Aarni

Linda Marie (Nelsen) Aarni, 57, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at her home in Rolling Hills Estates, CA, following a long illness. Linda was born in Minneapolis, MN to Charles and Marietta Licater. She moved to California with her mother and stepfather (Harold Nelsen) when she was 10 years old. After completing high school, she worked as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines for 13 years prior to Continental's bankruptcy filing in 1983. Linda experienced serious health problems in recent years, but kept alive her passion for personal growth and she loved interior decorating and floral arranging.

She is survived by Charles Aarni, her husband of 23 years, and her mother, Marietta Nelsen, of Mesa, Arizona. In addition, she is survived by 2 half-sisters, Ann Licater, who lives in the San Jose area and Suzanne LaLicata of Palm Beach, Florida, and by three half-brothers, Tony Licater of Dallas, Texas, Michael Licater from Minneapolis, MN and Dan Licater of Alhambra, CA.

A Memorial service will be held at Rice Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 4:00 PM. A reception will follow immediately in the Lighthouse Reception Room at 5:00 PM.
