Linda King

Mrs. Linda ‘Yen Shiang Chin-Ku’ KING, a four year resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Torrance. Born in Mukden City, China, Linda was 87 when she died. Mrs. King was a resident of Harbin, Chongking, Shanghai, Taipei, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, and Rancho Palos Verdes during her lifetime. Mrs. King received her Bachelor’s degree in economics from ChungHua University in ChongKing, China before moving to Taipei, Taiwan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Johnson 'Chih-Peng Chin' KING. Linda is survived by her son, Allen ‘Cheng-Hua Chin’ KING, his wife Lei LI, and her grandson Li-Ting JIN of Shanghai, China; and daughter Grace ‘Cheng-Chia Chin’ GOO, her husband Edward GOO, and her grandchildren William, Elizabeth, James, Andrew, and Lawrence GOO, all of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 9 AM to 10 AM. The Service will begin at 10:15 AM in Rice's Chapel. Burial will follow at Dongshang Overseas Chinese Cemetery in Dongshanzhen, Suzhou, China on Saturday, April 9, 2011.
