
Paul Rowe, a 55-year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away peacefully at home¸ surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 6, 2010 in Redondo Beach. Born in Iowa City, IA, September 21, 1932, he was 78 when he died. Paul was a sergeant in the Army and served during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist and then plant superintendent until his retirement when he was able to turn his undivided attention to his family. He had spent many years coaching and umpiring youth baseball and attending his grandchildren's activities in music and sporting events. Other interests included bowling, playing golf, fishing, traveling, and coin collecting. His generosity and caring for others will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Rowe of Redondo Beach, CA, daughter, Laura Bradley of Redondo Beach, CA, son, Chris Rowe of Lawndale, CA, son, Bryan Rowe of Redondo Beach, CA., grandchildren Paul, Deborah, Samantha, Taylor, and Bryan. Preceded in death by: father, Loren Rowe, mother, Pauline Mitchell, sisters Betty Towle, Shirley Norte, Jacqueline Molczyk and Naomi Dale and brothers Bob and Emery Mitchell. A Memorial Service will be held at Rice Mortuary on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2 P.M. with a reception immediately following in the Lighthouse Reception Room from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.
