Nicholson, Raymond Eugene (Nick) a 27 year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2006 in Redondo Beach. Born in Minneapolis, MN, Raymond was 61 when he died. Raymond served in the Navy for 20 years serving during Vietnam. He was the owner of NICSO, Nicks Independent Contract Sports Officials for 25 years. He was an instructor with the South Bay High School Softball Association, with whom he worked for about 15 years. Raymond is survived by his wife, Sonja Nicholson, step daughter, Toni Casey, son, Jeffrey Nicholson (Jeri), sisters, Patricia Johnson & Jeanine Lord and brother, Steven Nicholson. The Service will be Thursday, September 28, 2006, 12:00 P.M. with reception to follow both at Rice Mortuary in Torrance. Inurnment will be private.
