

Richard H. Riddle was born on July 22, 1933, in Pennsboro, West Virginia, and was the son of Roy Filmore Riddle and Marie Knight. He spent his formative years in Massillon, Ohio, where he graduated from Massillon High School. Richard entered the Navy as a young man during the Korean War and served on a Merchant Marine Ship, displaying dedication and commitment to his country.
In 1966, Richard married Juanita Muskat in Los Angeles, California, marking the beginning of a loving family. Throughout his professional life, Richard contributed his skills and dedication to Hughes Aircraft/Helicopters for over 25 years until his well-deserved retirement. Richard was an active member of the American Legion located in Culver City, where he made many friends and long-lasting relationships with other great men & women who served their country with pride and distinction.
After settling in Westchester, CA, Richard lived most of his adult life in this wonderful community. Over the years, he built many enduring relationships. He had many “Fur Babies” such Sam, Tiki, Dash, and Walter.
His surviving family members include his sister, Donna Carter, and his nephew, Michael Carter, both residing in Gainsville, Florida.
In addition, his stepdaughter, Dona Vlaskamp, resides with her husband Tony in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Also, Richard has 2
step-grandchildren: Teri Harper and Erik Vlaskamp and 4 step-great grandchildren: Ethan Vlaskamp, Barron Harper, Isabella and
Hutton Harper. All of his grandchildren will miss their Grandpa Richard so much!!
Richard Harold Riddle, age 90, of Torrance, California passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
