Robert R. Bragg

Bragg, Robert R., a 40 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Redondo Beach at the age of 81. He was born in Boston, MA. and was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. Robert was the past President of Sea Aire Senior Golf Club and an over 50 year member and veteran's medal holder at Old Colony Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Hingham, MA. He was a graduate of Hingham High School, Hingham, MA and Northeastern University, Boston, MA. Bob was in the shipbuilding industry for most of his life. He had been an employee of Bethlehem Steel, Quincy Shipyards, Electric Boat in Groton, CT, Global Marine, Todd Shipyards and finally Long Beach Naval Shipyard in Long Beach, CA., from which he retired in 1994.Bob is survived by his wife, Martha of Redondo Beach, CA; son, Charles (Stephanie) of El Camino Village, CA; son, Robert (Trudy) of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; and grandchildren Harry, Weston and Amanda. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Palos Verdes Estates on Sunday February 21, 2010 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2200 Via Rosa, Palos Verdes Estates, CA, 90274 in Memory of Robert R. Bragg.
