My name is Brenda Morris.   I had the privilege to work with Sharon these last few years.  I am thankful to God that our paths crossed.   Sharon was very respectful  and kind. She was quiet and did her work.  The department was so shocked  and saddened when we heard the news.  She was a part of us and we miss her.  She was a special lady.
Mrs. Elvie , our retired former manager, was also saddened and would have liked to attend the viewing on Monday, but was leaving for a trip and unable to make it.  
Our sincerest condolences go out to Anthony and the whole family.
May Sharon rest in peace.

It is with sadness that I extend my condolences to Sharon’s husband, family and friends, but it is with joy that I will join you in her homegoing celebration for her life is truly to be celebrated. She was a joy to know and love.

Dearest Sharon,  when I saw on Facebook that you had passed, I was in utter disbelief. I have known you since our days at Cimarron, and throughout all these years, you remained one of the kindest and most genuine souls I have ever met. I am so grateful for the opportunity to reconnect and spend time with you last year at the reunions --it is a memory I will cherish. Your warmth, kindness, and beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and you will truly be missed. Words cannot express my deep sadness in hearing of the passing of my Classmate, Sharon Smith Cotton.  I met her in Junior High School at Henry Clay.  Her smile made you relax in her presence.  She walked with confidence.  Her athletic ability made her stand out amongst the crowd.  She will be missed.

Sharon and I have been friends for over 50 years.  We go all the way back to the good old Cimarron days.  We also attended Henry Clay and Washington together.  Years later I ran into her at 24 Hour Fitness and  we became workout buddies for a while. Anyone who knows Sharon knows she’s very athletic.  We all wanted her on our sockball team at Cimarron.  Sharon was great at so many things, but her greatest accomplishment was her beautiful heart.  She was very sweet and kind with a great sense of humor.  We reconnected at our 40th reunion.  Sharon and I stayed around after day 3 of our reunion talking and laughing until it started to get dark.  Sharon wanted to attend our Ladies trip to Palm Springs but was dealing with some health issues.  I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created over the years.  You will never ever be forgotten.  I love you my friend!

It’s heartbreaking to lose someone as special as our classmate, Sharon (Smith) Cotton. Her infectious smile, sweet nature, and joyful spirit made her beloved by everyone. She touched countless lives with her great sense of humor, and her memory will always live on in the hearts of her classmates, Class of ’83. Rest in peace, our dear General Sharon. ❤️🤍💙

Dearest Sharon…we became friends as kids at Cimarron Elementary (we laughed about sharing the same middle name 🤭) and it continued to Henry Clay Jr High  thru our days at Washington High…we lost touch but it was amazing to reconnect with everyone at our 40th Class Reunion and several times after that. Throughout the many decades your beautiful smile and spirit remained a constant.
