Kathy, a graduate of Star of the Sea Academy in San Francisco, was among the first group of postulants to enter the newly constructed House of Studies in 1955. Being a San Franciscan was an important piece of her identity.
Kathy’s years of ministry were dedicated to teaching and administration. During her 26 years as principal and president at Carondelet High School, improvements were made on all levels. Innovation and collaboration were her hallmarks and fund-raising was raised to an art; the school flourished. Her cool demeanor always projected competency and dedication.
Her spirit of hospitality and welcoming smile was evident to all who encountered her. We celebrate her life, her gifts and talents which were generously shared and genuinely cherished by all who knew and loved her. Kathy was part of the 70th Jubilarians for this year. May her reception, her family, the community of Carondelet High School and her many friends be consoled by the blessings she was in their lives. May our God give her a resounding welcome home!
