I've been thinking a lot about Stan. I laugh and then I cry. I remember things like the slugs being dragged in the bathroom by the dogs and the jalapeños in the shrimp tortilla soup and all of us sniffling as we ate. Stan thinking you should turn your lights on. Never starting a sentance with, "I'm trying...." without him showing up to do the job right. He reminded me a lot of my dad. He's in a better place now. His heart no longer hurts but ours ache as we remember him. He was a good man, the memories we have will keep him close in our hearts. God bless you and your family.

I will always remember Stan as my uncle 'Tandy" - I couldn't pronounce his name as a 2 year old 60 years ago. Even tho I didn't see him as often when I became an adult, he was one of the cornerstones of my life. He always seemed to have the answers to my questions!       Both Gary and I will miss his dry sense of humor and his expertise in his work. He was such a fine example of a man with honesty, integrity and intelligence.       You will be missed by both of us.

Dear Gladys & Family,     You don't know how our hearts ache for you as you go this exceptionally hard time.  Stan was a wonderful man and we so looked forward to seeing you both when you came to the Farm in Michigan.  Stan touched our lives in a very special wonderful way... he will never be forgotten in our hearts!  We keep you all in our thoughts and our prayers! To the Stan Duffill Family  4-10-09      Our sincerest condolences for the passing of Stan, beloved husband, father, grandfather and our dear friend.      We knew Stan since 1976 when he first worked on our home.  Over the years, he continued to work on our home with remodeling and additions and he was known to us as a very dear man and friend.      Stan was the most consciencious, hard working honest, responsible and overall joy to work and be with.      We had the priviledge of visiting Stan and Gladys at their farm in Michigan, and the honor to know Courtney and Rachel when they were younger, and Andy when he worked with Stan on our home.      Five years ago was our last visit with Gladys and Stan when they came to see our recent remodel and we took them to dinner at Admiral Risty.      We will always be greatful having Stan and Gladys in our lives and for knowing your most dear and wonderful family.      We send our love to your family and may God grace all of you with blessing and peace.

Dear Gladys & Family,      Jim Warfield called to inform us of Stan's passing.  What a fine man Stan was.  I know he will be greatly missed.  Our memories of you and Stan go back to when we were first married and lived across the street from you on Avenue C.  You were both so kind to us and made us feel welcomed in the neighborhood.  Later we both joined the Dianas and had a good nine years together working on different committees and socials.  I still use your Eggnog recipe every    Christmas, everyone loves it.  Stan was such a great carpenter and he had people waiting in line for his services.  We would alway feel good recommending him to our family and friends.  You just don't see that kind of quality and dependability any more.  Please know that we are thinking of you and praying that God will give you the strength to get through this very sad time. Although I am sad that my father is no longer with us, I truly believe he is in a better place now.  I have many fond memories of dad and hope that they will stay with me until it is my time to go.        Love and condolences to my mother, my sisters, my nieces and nephews, my cousins and my aunt.
