Well, sister dear.......It's been over a year since you left us, and what a year it's been. I think about you every day with very mixed emotions and always with love.  I miss not being able to talk to you, see you, make you laugh. But I know you are happy in the company of our God, and you are at peace.  Watch over us....

Susie was strong during the many years that she fought this battle. Susie's example is an inspiration by which we all can strive. I will miss you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.    Love, Jim

I have many fond memories of Susie. But I have to tell you this one.  Susie drove down to Boca Raton, Florida with Debbie and I to visit a college friend, Gretchen.  We drove in a Datsun B-210 (a story in itself-no air conditioning). Gretchen had a small Hobie cat and wanted to take us out on the Atlantic. We did. We were doing fine and the wind was moving us through the water at a quick pace. Well the wind shifted and we did not shift with the wind fast enough.  I can remember that the Hobie was banking at about 85 degrees and Susie was holding onto a rope over the edge- not touching the Hobie. Finally she let go of the rope and splashed into the Atlantic. Her facial expression was priceless. We regrouped on the Hobie cat and continued to shore. We had plenty of laughs on the shore. Susie, we miss you.

Aunt Susie was a brave and strong woman who did not allow this disease to defeat her. I admire her courage, faith, and strong will to live each day to the best of her ability and make the most of it. It was great to make her laugh, because once she started, there was no stopping her. I'm thankful she is now at peace and watching over all of us :)   We love you Aunt Susie and we'll be thinking about you!   Love, Christy

WHEN I HEARD THE NEWS  I WAS DEEPLY SADDENED AND MY PRAYERS ARE WITH LAURA AND HER FAMILY THROUGH THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME . SUSAN WAS A STRONG WOMAN WHO BATTLED THIS FOR MANY YEARS SO SHE COULD MAKE SURE SHE LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO SEE HER DAUGHTER LAURA THE LOVE OF HER LIFE  TO BE RAISED INTO A  INDEPENDANT  GIRL ON HER OWN. IM SO GLAD SHE WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT AS FAR AS SHE DID BECAUSE  LAURA WAS EVERYTHING TO HER . I WILL MISS HER SMILING FACE.
