Terrence Martin Taylor

Terrence Martin Taylor (Terry) passed away on February 16th, 2009 at his home in San Pedro, California. He was 46 years old. Terry was born in Duluth, Minnesota on Saint Valentine's Day to Paul and Maxine Taylor. He was a graduate of Duluth Central High School where he played on the varsity basketball team. Shortly after graduation, Terry left Duluth to join the U.S. Army. After serving four years in the Army, Terry settled in Southern California where he joined ExxonMobil. He worked at their Torrance Refinery for 22 years concluding in a Supervisor role.

Terry's pride and joy were his two beautiful daughters Nicole and Haylie. He was a truly committed and loving father who could not be more proud of his children.

Terry is preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by his father Paul Taylor Jr. and his niece Tanya Michelle Byers.

Terry is sadly missed by daughters, Nicole Taylor and Haylie Taylor; Mother, Maxine Taylor; siblings, Paul Taylor III, Carolyn Byers (Christopher) Anderson, Alice Taylor, Melissa Taylor, David Taylor, Bruce Taylor and Edward Taylor; nieces and nephews, Jacquelyn (Keith) Snodgrass, Trey Taylor, Trina Taylor, Brandon (Rana) Byers, Tylor Taylor, Tyann Taylor, Andrea Potter, Darris Garner, Tamika Taylor and Chelsea Spellerberg; great nieces and nephews: Alexandria Watczak, Maya Taylor, Brooklyn Taylor, Shantik Taylor and Imani Snodgrass; brother-in-law: Jerry Byers, former wife: Stacy Taylor; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Terry will be especially remembered for his contagious laughter, unmatched sense of humor and unyielding dedication to his children.

Services will be held for Terry in Torrance, California on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at White and Day Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and a service will be held at 1:00 pm.
