Today, as we gather to celebrate Mother's Day, my heart overflows with memories of you, the most remarkable woman I've ever known. You were not just my mother; you were my guiding light, my inspiration, and my unwavering support.

Your voice was a melody that could soothe any soul, filling our home with warmth and joy whenever you sang. Your culinary talents transformed meals into unforgettable experiences, each dish made with love and care.

But beyond your talents, it was your boundless love and selflessness that defined you. You cared for everyone around you with a grace and kindness that knew no bounds. No matter how busy life became, you always made time for us, offering prayers and comfort that anchored our spirits.

You taught me invaluable lessons about love, patience, and forgiveness—virtues that continue to shape me every day. Your strength and resilience in the face of illness showed me what true courage looks like.

Though you are no longer here with us physically, I find solace in knowing that you are in a better place, free from pain and suffering. Your legacy of love and compassion lives on in my heart and in the lives you touched.

Today, I honor you, my beloved mother, with gratitude and a profound sense of admiration. Your spirit remains a guiding presence in my life, and I strive to live by the principles you instilled in me.

365 days you've have your wings,
and even though we can't prepare for these things, your memories live on through the people you've touched, and I just want you to know that I still care so much. For without you I wouldn't have ever known, the precious person that I now call my own, Sissy, friend, mentor and saving grace, we are all connected somehow throughout time somewhere in space.

I didn’t know Vernita, but I know her daughter, Sabriena. 
Even though I didn’t know her, I know she raised a strong, independent, intelligent, kind and loving daughter. I am sure Sabriena got a lot of her strength from her mom. She’s still with all that loved her. I wish comfort with you all that loved and knew her! ♥️

Today we remember you.. as you are in presence of the Lord 🙏🏼✨ I was privilege to be part of that beautiful ceremony in your honor. The hope we have is that one one day we will see each other in heaven. I know you are watching over your family  from above.

Miss talking to you Vernita. When I met you 2017 it seem as though we’ve known each other for years. You are truly missed. Rest well my friend.

Good morning auntie, there are so many words, things I wanted to tell you and ask. You have always been a light for my get right & you use to tell me to stop it Jeremiah get right and it will be alright. Them thanksgiving dinners, music you played and singing while your cooking was priceless with your loving voice “sing it loud auntie” let’s here it the love in your voice and oh never did I want to here you mad oh my that voice definitely frightened me haha. I will always carry you in my heart, my words, my spirit and my love. Your not gone your just on that vacation that brings you joy& I  love you so much 💙🎤🎶🔊

Dear  Mama V,

I am so grateful for the years of knowing and loving you and your family. You were always such an encourager and exhorter of others, sharing your warm smile, as well as your uplifting words. 

I know you are in Heaven looking down and wanting us not linger in our sorrows of missing you, because we will see you again; but know that you are missed and your presence on earth 🌍 made a huge impact.

May your spirit continue within your daughters and extended family as they endure their tremendous loss, and endeavor to live out their faith daily.

Praise God for the blessed time He gave you to each us!!!

Mama Virnita, I know you are in the presence of the Lord and I pray you and my mother have found each other. I can only imagine you both having a time dancing, shouting, and praising our savior all the day long. You kept the faith in every situation and circumstance, you ran a great race, and now you await the master’s voice to enter in for you remained a good and faithful servant on earth and modeled the love of Jesus so well. 

I will never forget your beautiful spirit and the way you always made me feel welcomed in your presence, just like family. You will forever hold a special place in my heart and I bless the Lord that I was honored to love you and share space and time with you on earth. You made it! Now I and your girls must stay on the King’s highway, holding up the blood stain banner as soldiers in the army of the Lord. We now live in your prayers and in my mama’s fervent and effectual prayers that still resound in this dimension. 

I love you to eternal life mama V and will forever cherish your love, your life, and your legacy.

In memory of a lovely lady, thank you for uplifting my spirit and blessing my life with your beautiful daughter! Your faith and strength are still an inspiration, just now from Heaven! 💙

l will always remember the laughter food and we had with her, no matter what was going on, no matter how old we were. She made you feel at home and put a smile on your face.

You are so sadly missed my sweet cousin. Rest in peace. I love my family. Wish we could have had our time together as we had planned, but God took you home, he had better plans for you.💕

Even though we never met in person, you have brought me the most incredible gift.. my best friend and soul sister Sabriena. There are not enough words to describe the incredible, selfless, powerful and loving woman you created and therefore I can only imagine just how much of an amazing soul that you are and will forever be. Sending all my love to you and all of the souls you've touched along the way 💜

My Mother(I will not call her “in-law”because she was more than that to me.) She was and will always one of the best people whom I have ever met. She was selfless, Caring, Understanding, And Forthright which I have and will always appreciate her for being with me…Love you Mama.
