She grew up on the family farm and attended 186th Street School in Gardena and Torrance High School. Later in life she worked at Art’s Cleaners and the Gardena YMCA.
Virginia spent many years involved in activities with her sons at the Gardena YMCA and in their schools, serving for one year as the President of the Denker Elementary PTA. She was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Gardena and served on their Sunday accounting team.
In her early days she was a talented dancer. She was the consummate hostess, making everyone feel welcome at her table. She was an excellent cook and kept a beautiful home. She liked playing bingo, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. She and Chuck enjoyed vacations regularly with their “Reel Friends”, fishing in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her warmth, beauty, sense of humor, ease in conversation, sage advice, and caring heart will be missed dearly.
